HEA Endorses 3 Candidates In The Hillsborough Board of Education Election
In an unprecedented move, the HEA is endorsing 3 candidates for the upcoming BOE elections. The candidates Cindy Nurse, Paul Marini and Benjamin Kidd will be running against incumbents for Board of Education seats.
Hillsborough Schools To Go 100% Virtual Until September 25, 2020
The District Restart Committee (DRC) has concluded that, at this time, Hillsborough is unable to meet the health and safety standards to operate the hybrid plan to start the school year and, as a result, will start the school year in an all virtual environment through Friday, September 25th. Hybrid instruction will begin on Tuesday, September 29.

“Impractical or Impossible” - Somerset County Union Leaders Call for a Reopening of School Buildings Only When It’s Safe
The Somerset County Education Association (SCEA) have drafted a letter to Governor Phil Murphy and Acting Commissioner of Education, Kevin Dehmer calling for New Jersey schools to remain virtual until science and trends show it is safe to return.

The SCEA will be staging at demonstration against rushed reopening of the NJ school buildings on Thursday, July 30th at 3:00 pm at the intersection of Main Street and Division Street in Somerville. Concerned members of the community are encouraged to join.

In response to the Coronavirus pandemic, all Hillsborough Township Public Schools will be closed for a minimum of two weeks effective Monday, March 16 and will follow a flexible learning schedule.

Tomorrow, Friday, March 13, 2020, all Hillsborough Township Public Schools will once again follow a half day schedule for students. PM preschool and kindergarten programs will be in session, however no lunches will be served.

Hillsborough To Hold Kindergarten Registration For The 2020-2021 School Year
Kindergarten registration for the 2020-2021 school year will be held weekdays from March 23 - April 3. All children who reside in Hillsborough and were born on or before October 1, 2015, are eligible to register for kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year.
