Fall Athletics Update for Hillsborough Middle School and Hillsborough High School
Practices for all sports both at Hillsborough High School and Hillsborough Middle School will now begin on September 14, 2020. Please refer to the information below (provided by Hillsborough Township Public Schools) for details and updates.

Families of Perspective Fall Student-Athletes of HHS and HMS:
I wanted to reach out to keep parents and students in the loop on what is currently going on with athletics around the State and how it directly impacts Hillsborough Township Public Schools. On Friday, July 10, the NJSIAA released updated start dates for the fall season. (NJSIAA 2020 NEW Fall Sports Start Dates.pdf ) Using these guidelines, practices for all sports both at Hillsborough High School and Hillsborough Middle School will now begin on September 14, 2020.
Additionally, we are waiting for clarification regarding sports physicals from the State. Currently, if a student-athlete has a physical on file from last year, they will not need a new physical this year. They will only need a health history update. If they do not have a physical on file from last year, they will need a new physical. This is not yet official, however, it is currently being discussed at the State level. I will communicate with everyone as soon as I receive a directive.

I would like to send a clarifying email as a follow up to my message on July 15th.
The summer recess period will run from July 13th - August 28th. These summer workouts are optional for high school student-athletes only, not all programs will be conducting summer workouts due to safety concerns. Your respective head coaches will be in touch regarding information during the summer workout period.
The virtual contact period, for high school athletic programs only, will run from August 29th - September 13th as set forth by the NJSIAA. Coaches can only work virtually during this period and can have zero in-person contact.
The first day of the fall season; this includes practices and tryouts, is September 14th, this goes for both the high and middle school levels.
All physicals or medical paperwork are to be dropped off at Hillsborough Elementary School, this goes for the high and middle school levels.
