On February 22nd, Coffee House highlighted the artistic talents of the HHS student body. Hillsborough residents who are not currently registered to vote are reminded that the deadline to register to vote in the upcoming March 12, 2019, school referendum is February 19, 2019. Residents will be asked to vote on Hillsborough Township Public Schools’ plan to invest in the future of the district by implementing a full-day kindergarten program as well as assisting the Board in laying out a plan for long-term financial stability.

I went to my first Hockey game just 10 miles South of Hillsborough down 206, a little gem known as the Hobey Baker Arena where the Princeton University Hockey team plays.

Last weekend, Hillsborough High School hosted two events that captured the essence of performing arts in the community. On Friday, February 1st, the HHS Debate Team organized the school’s annual Battle of the Bands. Five bands performed, four led by HHS students, and one comprising of HHS Faculty. There was a mix of original material, as well as classics by Blink 182, Nirvana, and Queen.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest describes electrical problems in the heart that cause a dangerously irregular heart rhythm, which prevents blood flow throughout the body. Although it is rare, young athletes are more than twice as likely to experience SCA as compared to non-athletes.
