Hillsborough High School Coffee House
Three times a year, Hillsborough High School’s Tri-M Music Honor Society and NAHS (National Art Honor Society) hosts Coffee House. On February 22nd, Coffee House highlighted the artistic talents of the HHS student body. Students who made it through the audition process were able to perform covers of songs, originals, and poetry.
Each Coffee House is accompanied by a theme that makes audiences feel immersed in the experience. While past themes embraced the holiday season, like “Nightmare Before Christmas”, NAHS decided to sweeten up the night with the theme of “Candy Land”. Students spent time out of class working on elaborate centerpieces and decor. Faux ice cream cones were strung from the ceiling, and candy land game pieces were mounted on tables, surrounded by an ocean of candy. The fun did not stop there, as students brought homemade desserts, along with an assortments of drinks, including juice, water, and especially coffee!
In between performances, art students were able to showcased their new work: screen prints, pen and inks, and charcoal drawings. Overall, the night brought together HHS students under the universal love for music.
