Postcards For Kids - HEA's BORO Pride Student Art Contest
BORO PRIDE Student Art Contest Celebrates Community Strength
There are many challenges facing our community, but one thing remains constant - our community continues to work together to seek “the Best for BORO”.
The Hillsborough Education Association (HEA) Pride Committee is excited to announce a new community project called Postcards for Kids. This project is funded through a grant from the New Jersey Education Association and unites members of our community under the BORO PRIDE banner. The project was created with the goal of bringing our community together and sending some extra support to our students as they navigate these difficult times.
Drawing upon our community’s strength we have created the theme, “We are All in This Together”. Students in grades 5-12 are invited to create a postcard design based on that theme. Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of stakeholders including BOE members, administrators, community leaders like Assemblyman Roy Frieman and Mayor Shawn Lipani, Shannon and Dave Winters from Sunnyside Gifts and the HEA Pride Committee. Three winners will be selected, one from each school, and the winning designs will be made into postcards. Details on the contest and how to enter can be found on the attached flyer.
The postcards will be made available to elementary staff to send an uplifting message to a student or celebrate their successes during such a challenging time. The contest will run until January 31st and the winners will be announced the third week of February.
Winners will receive a $25 Amazon gift card.
Please join BORO PRIDE in celebrating the strength and resiliency of our wonderful community.
