Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF) Book Drive 2020
Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF) is holding a book drive from August 4th - August 6th at the Hillsborough Township Municipal Building multipurpose room.

Hillsborough, NJ – Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF) organizes a book drive to replenish teachers’ classroom libraries in Hillsborough Township Public Schools. The book drive will be held at the Hillsborough Township Municipal Building multipurpose room. Books will be accepted on Tuesday, August 4th from 10 AM – 2 PM, Wednesday, August 5th from 10 AM – 2 PM and Thursday, August 6th from 10 AM – 12 PM.
For donors, this is an opportunity to share your beloved books with the next generation of readers. We can only accept gently used books in very good condition. Hillsborough Township Public Schools teachers will be invited to select books for use in their classrooms grades Pre-K to 12. Please see below for a list of books we cannot accept.
Classroom donations of tissues, Lysol wipes, glue sticks, poly folders, Expo markers and pencils will also be accepted during the book drive.
HEF will provide a tax receipt for all donations. Determining the actual value for tax purposes is up to you. For questions, please email hef.social@hef.org
The Hillsborough Township Municipal Building is located at 379 South Branch Road, Hillsborough NJ 08844 at the corner of South Branch Road and Beekman Lane.

Encyclopedias
Self-help books
Law textbooks, medical textbooks, scholarly monographs
Business, science, and technical books
Reader’s Digest Condensed Books
Time Life sets including cookbooks
Harlequin and Silhouette romances
Textbooks on any subject
Manuals, almanacs, restaurant, hotel or travel guides
The Life Nature Library, the Life Science Library, and the Life World Library
Books that are stained, coated with dust, or smell musty
Books with heavily underlined pages
Paperback books with ripped covers or browned pages
About Hillsborough Education Foundation HEF’s mission is to strengthen the bridge between our community and Hillsborough Township Public Schools by encouraging community involvement and financial support to enhance public education for students at all levels. HEF was established in 1996 and has a long history of funding innovative programs and classroom initiatives, including the initial funding for the Hillsborough High School robotics team and fundraising for the Hillsborough High School turf field in 2000. One of HEF’s longest running programs has been granting scholarships to graduating Hillsborough High School seniors.
Education foundations promote excellence in education by funding activities that would not otherwise be funded through the traditional school district budget. HEF seeks to engage Hillsborough Township Public Schools alumni, parents, business leaders, community members and organizations to harness private resources to support public education. HEF further seeks to offer opportunities for community members to become involved with the advancement of public school education.
