MHS Class of 2019 Graduates with Pride

Montgomery High School bade farewell to the Class of 2019 on Monday, June 24th, as the talented, ambitious, and kind students came to the end of their twelve year journey.

The bittersweet commencement ceremony was held in Cougar Stadium at 6 p.m. Class President Larissa Jiminez opened the event by sharing memories and advice for the soon-to-be graduates.

Salutatorian Nikita Goswami delivered a sentimental speech, which was followed by Valedictorian Ivan Chau’s address that sparked laughter from the crowd.

Friends, family, and MHS staff watched the nearly 400 students recognized for their achievements as each graduate walked up the stage to receive their diplomas. Caps flew high following the ceremonious turning of the tassel, and onlooking parents and family jumped to their feet applauding.

The graduates excitedly filed out of Cougar Stadium, thanking the teachers, administrators, and friends who have played an integral role in their past few years at Montgomery High School.

The graduation ceremony was followed by a reception inside the school filled with laughter, tears, and many, many pictures. Congratulations to the class of 2019!
