Hillsborough Board of Education and Hillsborough Education Association Reach a Tentative Agreement

The Hillsborough Township Board of Education (HTBOE) and the Hillsborough Education Association (HEA) came to a tentative agreement on a new three year contract. The tentative deal was reached after both sides met with a fact finder for almost six hours on Thursday, 12/19/2019. The HEA and HTBOE have been negotiating since November 2018 for a contract which expired in June 2019. The meeting on Thursday, 12/19/2019 was the first meeting with the state appointed fact finder. The terms of the tentative agreement will not be made public until it is ratified by the union and the school board. Both parties look forward to ratification over the next several weeks and continuing to focus on ensuring the best education for our students.
