Congratulations Hillsborough High School Class of 2019
Hillsborough High School’s Class of 2019 took their final steps together at the Cure Insurance Arena in Trenton on June 20.
Upon arrival, seniors were welcomed by both old and new faces. Teachers, administrators, friends and family greeted students to celebrate their accomplishments, making it a night to remember.
As the band was cued in and the processional began, parents, friends, and family were eager to see the soon-to-be graduates. As they prepared to turn their tassels, speeches were delivered by student leaders and administration members, touching on ideas of authenticity, remembering the past, and perseverance.
HHS choir performed a light-hearted rendition of OneRepublic’s “I Lived,” pushing graduating seniors to center stage with their final solos.
“The energy in the stadium was definitely supportive and positive. It felt like a cumulative effort, like everything from high school had built up to this,” said class of 2019 graduate, Jason Guarino.
After diplomas were handed out to each student, the audience roared in applause as the seniors came to the completion of their educational journey in Hillsborough. As Karen Bingert, HHS principal, announced, “Ladies and gentlemen, the Class of 2019,” the energy in the arena quite literally soared along with graduation caps into the air.
Congratulations to Hillsborough High School’s Class of 2019! Good luck in all future endeavors and new experiences.
