Discovering Raritan Event Promotes Local Businesses and Community
The Raritan Economic Development Committee will host the first ever Discover Raritan event this Saturday, August 10.
Discovering Raritan will be used to spotlight local Raritan businesses and promote strength within the community. The event, which will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., takes place along the Somerset Business District, between Thompson Street and Nevius Street.
Raritan was incorporated on April 3, 1868, and is filled with over 150 years of history that attendees of the event will be able to discover and learn. The town is named after the Native American Raritan Tribe, and is said to mean “forked river.”
“The beer garden, live music, food and fun for the kids will make for an incredible evening,'' said the Committee’s Facebook page. Make sure to stop by on Saturday to learn more about Raritan’s incredible community!
